The fan sculptures are part of a series titled Darkened Room. The project explores the fan as an object and its relationship to looking, being seen, and the forms of surveillance—both online and in person—that shape contemporary social life. It draws inspiration from the no-photo policies of certain nightclubs, which function as partial shelters from these forces, creating spaces where visibility is negotiated differently. The fan echoes this logic: an object that conceals, shields, and reveals on its own terms. In these environments, dimmed light, veiling smoke, and restrictions on photography cultivate a kind of punctured visibility—conditions that enable deeper forms of connection, where attention shifts away from how things look and toward how things feel. This produces a mode of seeing in which the visual field becomes intentionally fragmented, marked by gaps that disrupt the continuity of what can be seen and who can be perceived.

Each fan is made of Cast and Granulated Glass, they are hand finished and polished. Price includes patinated steel stand.
